South Tyneside College

In early 2008, Stage C proposals for this exciting college development gained ‘agreement in principle’ from the Learning and Skills Council. Working in a multi-disciplinary team, including Ryder Architecture and Arup Engineering, Colour-UDL is now involved in the production of Stage D design packages for college site at Westoe and Hebburn, South Tyneside. Landscape proposals will aim to create dynamic, contemporary settings for the new college buildings and include civic arrival spaces, external teaching and workshop areas and areas for informal recreation. These will seek to integrate the new development into their existing context including an adjacent conservation area (Westoe) and green belt designation (Hebburn). It is hoped that the new facilities will be completed by the start of term in September 2012.
