BSF Financial Close in South Tyneside
On the 21st December 2007, Financial Close was announced for Jarrow and Mortimer secondary schools – the first two projects of the £200 million+, 5-year South Tyneside and Gateshead Building Schools for the Future programme. Given the announcement of Preferred Bidder in mid-September 2007 and subsequent planning approval for both sites, this is a great milestone in the Colour approach of translating transformational educational thinking into built infra-structure of genuine ownership by teachers and pupils alike.
The agreement marks the fifth Colour project achieving Financial Close in 2007. The previous four were redevelopments at Hope Hospital in Salford, Tameside Hospital, the University Hospital of North Staffordshire and the Hayward Hospital, north Stoke.
